The most controller damaging video games!
Being experts in repair has lead us to see some controllers take some beatings over the time which lead me to think about something. Exactly what are the most controller damaging games? Are they the one's that force you to click so many buttons that you almost punch them in with your thumbs? The classics where your controller not only gets damaged but so does your wall, doubling the damage costs because of how hard they are? Or are they quite simply because someone beat you in a competitive online game. We've all been there, things aren't going your way and you decide that poor controller deserves 12 rounds with Tyson Fury. After some research, we have officially compiled a list of what seems to be the most controller damaging games of all-time! Let's get right into it, below are five games of what is believed to be the most controller damaging games. Try not to break your mouse or mobile just by reading this. Bloodborne

For all those PlayStation fans out there, you will know that Bloodborne is a very unforgiving game and doesn't hold your hand for long. Whilst the game in its own right is a masterpiece and if you can stick it out just past the first level then the game becomes a hell of a lot of fun. But that first level, THAT FIRST LEVEL! is the reason why Bloodborne saw a lot of people raging and breaking their beloved PS4 controllers. Given the title as Dark Souls but a lot harder was mainly due to its really tough boss battles. Though it isn't particularly a common immediate thought when you ask this question, it is the highest solely single player game that caused gamers to contemplate therapy, and that isn't even to do with its grisly gothic art style that the game focuses around.
Grand Theft Auto (Online)

Grand Theft Auto Online is almost like a playground for anybody in the world to take out whatever rage they have in the real world and force it upon in this video game. Sadly, it seems that controllers get the brunt of this ideology too, especially when you consider what happens in the online mode of the game. Hours of progress and your valued time spent grinding, only for someone to kill you, steal your car and money and for them never to be seen again. You've been robbed blind. Thankfully Grand Theft Auto Online does allow players to have a solo session in which you are completely on your own and you are free to do missions and earn money and XP without any interruptions.
Minecraft

I for one, sometimes feel like I'm stuck in purgatory whenever I experience playing Minecraft. Picture this: you’ve just spent hours mapping out your outside world, desperate to finish construction on your most ambitious design to date with help from your friends. You decide to invite some of your other "friends" to see the world you've spent your time making it look spectacular. Then out of nowhere, some blocks of TNT that "mysteriously" appeared sends your creation into a nice hole for you to start again. Maybe a few blocks floating in the air leaving you a nice ruin of what you previously made only to rub it in. What's worse is that sometimes, even the game decides to make you feel worthless. Remember when your Mum and Dad used to say to you for leaving the door open "were you born in a barn?" Well, I hope you didn't do the same in this game. Leave that door open and in walks a green four-legged monster that's only purpose is to explode when you get near it. BOOM! The explosion from a creeper forces you to start over, with absolutely zilch to your name. Congratulations, you’ve officially been shafted.
FIFA

Ahh FIFA, There’s honestly no other sports game on the market that has developed anywhere near as much of an angry player base. But given its number of diehard communities and professional eSports teams — rage quitting and breaking controllers just sort of comes naturally to most who decide to brave its toxic waters. I remember personally one year queuing in a midnight release for the new FIFA (I believe it was FIFA 18) and the amount of controller care warranty's that Game was dishing out on top of sales for the game in the process was sensational. Sports are supposed to bring us, as people, closer together as a species. Only, try telling that to the millions of FIFA players all scraping together the remains of their shattered controllers and in some instances, televisions. They’ll likely tell you a different story. Whether it’s a 90-minute winning goal or an immediate hat trick right off the bat, matches rarely ever consist of two joyous teams with a happy-go-lucky approach to winning and losing. They just sort of, well, despise each other. But that’s just FIFA for you, and will it ever change? I doubt it. Everyone loves the game, enough to buy it every year, though they basically detest anyone who plays it. It’s a weird community, I can’t explain it, even though I am a part of it myself.
Call of Duty

Pick a Call of Duty game, any Call of Duty ever that has featured multiplayer of some sort and you'll find probably every lobby ever will result in players raging and using language that would make you say "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth". The fact is Call of Duty is just like FIFA, but with guns. With an ever-growing community of players who play Call of Duty competitively, if things go pear-shaped for a certain player and you are the reason, you'd probably know instantly with a few sharp words. Call of Duty has its language now, with words such as camping and turtling generated from a game alone. It's no wonder it tops our list for causing plenty of arguments not only between players but also between a mother and son, screaming the roof off of their houses. You can go on YouTube and find compilations of rage from people playing online Call of Duty and to be perfectly honest, some of the insults people come up with are poetic, in their weird way.
So there you have it, our list of the most controller damaging games. Do you agree with our list, let us know below what games you've played and sacrificed a controller in the process. Remember, should you need spare parts for your controller, you can find them here at Repair Outlet.
