How to use my iPhone without the home button?

Using an iPhone without a home button is impractical long-term, so we recommend purchasing a replacement button as soon as possible. For a short-term fix, however, there are some steps that you can take. Restart your phone. You will be prompted to enter your passcode. After unlocking your phone, open the settings menu. Tap accessibility, touch, and assistive touch. Tap the assistive touch slider. It will turn green. A floating button will appear. By touching this button, you will then be able to "attach" a permanent home button to the screen.

Will my new home button recognise my fingerprint?

Unfortunately, our range of home buttons do not feature fingerprint recognition technology. Touch ID functionality is only available in the iPhone's original home button assembly.
