Soldering Flux & Paste

Soldering flux and paste are materials that are used to aid in the soldering process.

The difference between the two is that soldering flux is a chemical that is applied to the surfaces to be soldered before the solder is applied, it helps to clean the surfaces, remove oxides and other impurities, and promote a strong bond between the metals.

Soldering paste, on the other hand, is a mixture of solder powder and flux that is used to make repairs to electronic components, it is often used in surface-mount technology (SMT) to join small components to a circuit board.
