Whilst most of the UK is feeling the heat, Samsung have just turned the heat up on their competition with their Unpacked 2022 event.

So without any further ado, Here's a round up from all of the biggest and best announcements....
Galaxy Z Fold 4

Undeniably the focal point of this years Unpacked show was the Galaxy Z Fold 4. The latest iteration of their folding flagship, shares a similar form to its predecessor. Coming in slightly lighter and with incremental improvements to it's aesthetic. The real differences are inside, equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and all new camera array, featuring a 50-megapixel main camera and much more capable telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom. Shipping with the latest Android 12L operating system, which is focused around larger devices, means that multi tasking and using the device in its larger format will be much less cumbersome. Coupled with news from the likes of Google and Microsoft that more of their apps will be compatible with the Z Fold form factor there are plenty of reasons to look forward to the release of this device.
Galaxy Z Flip

Much like the Z-Fold, the more affordable Z-Flip has had a refresh. On the outside it too remains very similar to it's predecessor, though there have been some refinements of it's design, like a slimmer hinge and some additional software options that allow you to customise the smaller front screen. The best upgrades though are the internals, the Z-Flip 4 will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, larger 3,700mAh battery and a new primary camera, which Samsung claim is 65% brighter than the one equipped to the previous model.
Galaxy Watch 5

Alongside the new folding models, Samsung also announced two new wearables, the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch Pro 5. With the introduction of a new infrared sensor and the ability to take body temperature readings, Samsung claims that the new devices will be able to provide much more accurate, smarter health data. Both the 44mm and 40mm models are fitted with larger batteries, putting old issues of poor battery life to bed.
Galaxy Buds 2 Pro

The next device in our list that got a revamp is the Galaxy Buds Pro with Samsung announcing their successor as the new Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. A lot of critics loved the Galaxy Buds pro, offering a lot of 'bang for the buck', it's nice to see them getting an upgrade. The new model will come with improved Bluetooth (5.3), 24-bit audio support and upgrades to the noise cancellation, as well as a 15% decrease in size to allow for a better fit, further improving the noise cancellation. They also focused on the Intelligent Voice Detect, which is designed to work out when you're talking to someone, automatically turning off noise cancellation and dimming the volume of your music to allow you to hold a full conversation with no additional effort.
Recycling

On top of the announcement about the new devices, Samsung stated that, with the addition of these new devices, it takes the total of their devices manufactured using recycled materials up to 11 and they're aiming to continue to develop the use of recycled materials ongoing. As a company dedicated to cutting down on the number of devices becoming e-waste, is music to our ears.
