Microsoft declares the date for its Fall 2022 Surface event!
Save the date Microsoft advocates, Microsoft has confirmed its annual fall Surface hardware event for the 12th of October. The event will take place at 10 am ET (3 pm GMT). We have a pretty good idea of what we might expect to be announced from rumours that have speculated over the past few months. With that being said, lets go over a few details on how to view and what we might expect!
How Do I Watch The Event?

The easiest way to access viewing for the event would be live via Microsoft's event website, which you can save the date to your outlook calendar now. There is also the likelihood that Microsoft's YouTube channel will also stream the event if you prefer this viewing platform.
What Can We Expect To See?

Whilst nothing has been made official yet of what Microsoft will announce, the rumoured Surface 9 Pro will most likely be the main launch of the event, with speculation also focused on the Surface Laptop 5 & Surface Studio 3 to be on the undercard of the line-up of the event.
Microsoft Surface Pro 9

So far, we know most of what there is to know about the Surface Pro 9 and there are some considerably notable differences and changes being made. This includes merging the Intel Surface Pro line with the Qualcomm Surface Pro X line. The Surface Pro 9 launch date might also come only a stone's throw away from the day of the event, with the release of the Surface Pro 8 coming just 13 days after last year's event. How will the Surface Pro 9 look? Well with rumours that there will be different colour options available, In terms of actual design, it will most likely look similar to the Surface Pro 8 with minimal variation. We expect it to sport the same 13-inch (2,880 x 1,920) display as its predecessor, and likely pack the latest Intel 12th Gen CPUs instead of the 11th Gen chips in last year's model, 5G connectivity and a Qualcomm SoC.
Microsoft Surface Laptop 5
The Surface Laptop 4 arrived last spring slot usually and it was a risk that paid off. With a magnificent performance, battery life and display, it’s clear Microsoft could go further to make the Surface Laptop 5 an absolute game-changer and the best in its class. That’s exactly what we’re hoping for and it could be just a few weeks away from being announced. Rumours speculate that Microsoft will supposedly stick with 13.5in and 15in models for the Surface Laptop 5, with both sizes having a 120Hz refresh. With the new Windows 11 Dynamic Refresh Rate feature now fully active, the Laptop 5 should be able to automatically adjust the refresh rate depending on what you’re doing which will impact and likely increase performance and battery life.
Microsoft Surface Studio 3

The original Surface Studio had sixth-gen processors, while the Surface Studio 2 had seventh-gen. This means we are expecting the Surface Studio 3 to be newer in both its processors and design. There is the option to make a massive leap from 7th to have the current 11th-gen CPUs, or they could just upgrade to 10th gen, either way, it's a big upgrade from what we saw in the Studio 2. With the design, the Studio 2 already has a massive 28-inch display, could the Studio 3 go bigger or stay the same? Whilst a slight increase would be nice, there is the fear that the screen may become so big that it becomes an expectation for a much larger screen with each generation of the model.
Stay Tuned!
