The first Honor foldable phone bound for the world!

Honor this morning announced its anticipated second foldable phone of the year with the Magic Vs. The Chinese phone company gave us full details on the new phone that is going to be bound for countries outside its native China which didn't occur with the Magic V. But what exactly is the Magic Vs? Similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, it is a book-style foldable phone. With each flagship phone constantly getting a makeover with the latest spec upgrades, the Honor Magic Vs doesn't hold back and features all the specs you could ask for from a 2022 flagship phone with some extras. It will boast a powerful processor with it set to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen Plus 1, which whilst it might not be the latest from Qualcomm, is still a pretty capable and flagship chipset.

In addition, a large battery of a capacity of 5,000 mAh, 66W fast charging that will charge to 100% in just 45 minutes and a triple rear camera setup that's bolstered by 3x optical zoom. Looking deeper into the cameras, its main camera will be a 54MP Sony IMX800 main sensor behind an F/1.9 lens which has featured before in an Honor phone series (Honor 70 range). The phone will also have two memory options, with a more affordable option available with a RAM & Storage option of 8GB + 256GB available, or alternatively a more premium capacity of 12GB + 512GB.

The phone will also be able to withstand 400,000 folds, which is the equivalent of 100 folds a day and will be durable enough for 10 years of full usage. As you'd expect with a huge 7.9 inch display when the phone is fully opened, Honor will include a newly introduced stylus called the 'Magic Pen', which will connect to the foldable via Bluetooth. Going deeper into the display, it's an OLED screen that holds a 2272x1984 pixel resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate with a brightness toggle of up to 800 nits.

There will be three lovely colour choices to choose from: Cyan, Black & Orange and there will be an additional two exclusive colours for the higher capacity option, with Gold & Black as two separate options. For the first time as well, Honor says it plans to release this foldable phone in the UK and the EU, among other countries and regions later down the line. Pre-orders for the Magic Vs are now being taken in China for 7,499 yuan, which converts to £880.
